handcrafted bits, spurs & buckles
I was raised in a family of craftsman. My childhood and teenage years were influenced by carpenters, cabinet makers and DIY’ers. Due to this, I am no stranger to construction, fine tolerances and the fit and finish of true craftsmanship. I also understand that no matter how pretty the “shovel”, it is still a tool that has to dig. I have been building Texas style bits, spurs and cowboy hardware since 1996 and have applied these principals in my trade. In addition to bit and spur work I also teach animal science, welding and metal arts at our high school here in Sundown Texas. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Shanna and we have two kids Lindi and Tripp. Lindi lives in Dalhart with her husband Justin Schumacher. She and Justin both work at Stockmans Feedbunk in Dalhart, Texas. Tripp is a 2nd Lt. in the USMC and currently stationed in Quantico,VA.
